We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this hands on engineering role, you will support the safe and reliable operation of our refinery facilities and infrastructure while executing maintenance driven and capital engineering projects that enhance performance, safety, and compliance.

Job Purpose
To support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of refinery facilities and infrastructure by providing hands on engineering support and executing facility and maintenance driven capital projects. This role focuses on engineering design support, equipment upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and project execution while ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Engineering and Technical Support
• Provide engineering support for facility infrastructure, utilities, and production support systems
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues beyond routine maintenance
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, P and IDs, and technical specifications
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and facility improvements
• Ensure engineered solutions are safe, compliant, and maintainable

Capital Project Engineering and Execution
• Execute assigned capital and maintenance driven engineering projects from concept through closeout
• Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation

Maintenance Engineering Support
• Provide engineering support during major repairs, outages, and upgrades
• Support repair versus replace evaluations
• Improve equipment reliability and maintainability through engineered solutions
• Support spare parts standardization and technical documentation

Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA requirements
• Participate in Management of Change, job safety analyses, and hazard reviews
• Support audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation
• Identify and mitigate engineering related risks

Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination
• Serve as the engineering point of contact for assigned systems and projects
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and external contractors
• Support vendor selection and contractor oversight

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve facility performance, efficiency, and reliability
• Support engineering standards, procedures, and documentation
• Apply lessons learned to future projects

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Four to eight years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or project engineering within an industrial environment
• Demonstrated experience executing capital projects and facility upgrades
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P and IDs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• CMMS experience preferred
• Familiarity with CAD systems is a plus

Compliance Requirements
• This position requires compliance with ITAR and NAID standards
• Candidates must be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, or otherwise meet ITAR eligibility
• Ability to pass a seven year background check free of theft or fraud related offenses
• Must pass pre employment drug screening
• Must be medically fit to work in an industrial environment

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk in an industrial facility for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and repetitive motions
• Required use of PPE in designated areas

Schedule
Shift: Monday through Friday, standard business hours with flexibility as projects require
Location: Onsite
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible
