Training Requirement: Candidates must be available to work 1st-shift hours during the initial training period before transitioning to their regular 2nd-shift schedule.

Sibanye-Stillwater Recycling is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Security Supervisor to lead our 2nd-shift security team in a high-security precious metals recycling and refining environment.

We're looking for a leader who enjoys coaching employees, recognizing strong performance, setting clear expectations, and building a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork.

What You'll Do

  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and development to Security Team Leads and Security Specialists.

  • Build and maintain a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture.

  • Set clear performance expectations, recognize achievements, and address performance concerns fairly and consistently.

  • Oversee daily security operations, staffing, scheduling, patrols, and shift coverage.

  • Monitor CCTV, access-control systems, incident response, and security investigations.

  • Ensure the protection of employees, visitors, precious metals, facilities, and company assets.

  • Support employee onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen security procedures, safety standards, and operational effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in security operations, loss prevention, law enforcement, or a related field.

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED with relevant experience considered.

  • Strong communication, employee coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to balance employee development with high standards of accountability and security.

  • Experience with CCTV, access-control systems, and investigations preferred.

  • A hands-on leadership approach focused on teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility to work 1st-shift hours during training and transition to the assigned 2nd-shift schedule.
