At Sibanye-Stillwater Recycling, accuracy and integrity are more than accounting principles. They are how we build trust across our business. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and strengthen our growing financial operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting compliance with SOX and GAAP. Your work will help power confident decisions, enable continuous improvement, and uphold the financial health of our organization.
In this role you will
Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closings
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal accounting policies
Support internal and external audits through documentation, analysis, and coordination with auditors
Partner with Operations, Commercial, and other teams to ensure accurate cost and expense reporting
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and automation
Analyze financial results and variances to support operational and strategic decision-making
Contribute to a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration within the Finance team
What you bring
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred
3 to 6 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a SOX-regulated corporate environment
Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to translate financial data into business insight
