The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial statement preparation, month-end close, inventory control, and physical inventories. Focusing on Down Stream Vendors' invoice processing, inventory settlements, price fixation, etc. Provide monthly variance analysis on assigned P&L areas and ad hoc analysis.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month-end accounting close, reporting and analyses, reserve analyses, and compliance with SOX accounting guidelines.
- Work closely with the Down Stream Vendors, A/P, Plant, and accounting departments in providing support and guidance.
- Work with Operations and IT on resolving inventory concerns.
- Manage inventory & sales process including verifying weights, settlements, production/inventory lot status, discrepancies, advances, transfers, and charges.
- Liaison with Customers and Financial Accounting to ensure proper billing and resolution.
- Reconcile cycle count physical inventory results with perpetual records.
- Prepare journal entries & record transactions to the ERP system.
- Support external audits.
- Verification of cash payments to suppliers
- Serve as backup to other staff functions.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in accounting.
- Experienced working in a Publicly owned company.
- 3-5 years’ experience in managing a team with overall 7+ years of experience in accounting field.
- Hands on experience in Accounting, Inventory management, and Cost accounting.
- Experience maintaining and developing inventory cycle internal controls.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAVision a plus but not required.
- High degree of Microsoft EXCEL mastery is required (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and exceptional organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and dependable with little supervision.
- Logical and sensible.
- Deadline driven.
- Internal Control Knowledge working closely with the Plant Controller and occasionally performing audits and analysis of internal controls.
- Resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate records requires collaboration with other plant operations.
- Review or prepare general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations.
